The US Justice Department is investigating whether five news networks violated federal antitrust laws.
The department launched the investigation in response to all five major US television networks suspending White House coverage in solidarity with reporters who had their credentials pulled.
The department said ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and Fox News were under investigation.
