US immigration authority has a 10-day deadline on home address

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has a reminder for immigrants in the country asking them to report a change of address to the agency within 10 days of moving, warning that failing to update the address could lead to missed notices, delays in immigration cases and problems receiving immigration documents. The immigration authority shared the reminder on X (formerly Twitter), also making clear that changing an address with the US Postal Service does not automatically update records with USCIS.“Changing your address with USPS does not update your address with USCIS, and USPS will not forward USCIS mail. You are responsible for keeping your address current with both USCIS and USPS.
