US delegation arrives in Kyiv as ceasefire in Russia
US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff have arrived in Kyiv to facilitate peace talks following a meeting with Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Both Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a temporary halt on strikes against each other's capitals during the diplomatic process.

US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have arrived in Kyiv, as part of a push to revive peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
The visit follows the emissaries' meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday.
Both Mr Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed to halt strikes on their respective capitals during the talks.

In joint statements to reporters after the first round of talks, Mr Witkoff said the US team had been "very encouraged" by what he described as a "substantive, important" discussion.
