US and Denmark reach Greenland security agreement - Trump
The United States, Denmark, and Greenland have reached a security agreement to increase U.S. military presence on the island. Donald Trump stated the deal prevents U.S. adversaries from establishing bases or making sensitive investments in Greenland without American approval.

The United States, Denmark and Greenland have entered into an agreement that will see the US develop a significant military presence on the island, while prohibiting US adversaries from building their own bases there, Donald Trump has said.
In a statement, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said: "I am pleased that there is a prospect of a good agreement for Greenland, the Kingdom of Denmark and the United States."
She added that the agreement would be signed on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly next week.
In a Truth Social post, the president Trump wrote that no US enemies would be able to make sensitive investments on the island without the approval of the United States and that the agreement had no expiry date.
