Urinal in food storage area: Mumbai's iconic Olympia Coffee House loses licence
MUMBAI: Olympia Coffee House in Colaba had its food licence suspended with immediate effect following a consumer complaint that flagged hygiene violations.On inspection, food safety officers found a urinal inside the food storage area, an infestation of cockroaches and flies, and unhygienic food preparation practices.Licences of seven other establishments, including Vishwas Sweets and Snacks in Ghatkopar West, A-1 General & Dry Fruits, Milan Punjab in Worli, and Sadguru Sweets in Malad East, were also suspended.Among these were a Blinkit warehouse in Chembur that failed hygiene standards and a canteen within Nair Hospital, which was cited for "serious hygiene and safety breaches affecting patient and public health."With regard to the licence suspension of Olympia…
