Upskilling necessary for career prospects, says VIT vice-president

A mega job fair was jointly organised by Thalaimurai Peravai, a local non-profit organisation, and Equitas, in Vellore town.
According to a press release, the job fair attracted more than 2,000 participants and over 100 companies from diverse fields. The fair was inaugurated by M. Ravi, former Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu’Ups in the presence of G.V. Selvam, vice-president, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
The job fair, which was organised to mark the birthday of G.V. Selvam, provided an opportunity for candidates to explore career prospects, interact with recruiters, and connect with potential employers across various sectors.
