Six-time MLA from the Narasimharaja constituency and former Minister Tanveer Sait on Monday expressed disappointment over not being inducted into D.K. Shivakumar’s Cabinet, with his name missing from the list of Ministers cleared by the AICC.
Mr. Sait, who was a strong aspirant for a ministerial berth and had remained confident of securing the party high command’s approval during the second phase of Cabinet expansion, said he was disappointed by the decision.
“ This has disappointed my party workers and supporters. One of my supporters allegedly attempted suicide after learning that I had not been made a Minister. I had hoped to be inducted into the Cabinet, but it has not happened. My immediate priority is to speak to my supporters and party workers in the wake of this development,” he said.
