The Warriors prepare for a crucial NRL round 19 match against the Wests Tigers following a mid-season break. Both teams are navigating roster challenges, with the Warriors welcoming back key players while managing injury concerns.
Why it matters
This match is pivotal for the Warriors' top-four standing and the Tigers' hopes of remaining in contention for the finals.
Warriors v Wests Tigers, NRL round 19, 10pm, Friday July 10, Campbelltown Stadium, Sydney.
The Warriors begin their final stretch of the season against the Wests Tigers in a crucial match for both sides.
Sitting second on the ladder, they need a victory to hold that position. A loss could mean they slip out of the top four if the Roosters, Knights and Dolphins all win.
Fresh off their third and final bye, Warriors coach Andrew Webster said the break came at the perfect time considering all the travel they have had over the past three months, only playing one game in Auckland since April.
“I think that whole block was a lot of travel, and to have three byes during however many stretch of games probably seems too many when you look at the start of the year,” Webster said.
