UP man bitten by 5-ft snake kills it, then walks into hospital carrying it in bag

A snake bite is usually enough to send anyone rushing for medical help. But when 60-year-old Uttam Nayak reached a hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba district, it wasn't just his injured finger that caught everyone's attention.He had brought the snake with him.Uttam was sleeping under a tin shed in his field late at night when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his right finger. When he switched on his flashlight, he spotted a black snake, estimated to be around five feet long, near a stove.Instead of running away, Uttam picked up a stick and began hitting the snake. He kept at it until the reptile died.He then bandaged his injured finger himself, had some tea and waited for morning.Around 5 am, Uttam returned home with the dead snake in a bag and told his family what had happened.
