UP man beheads sleeping wife over ‘affair’, walks into police station

LUCKNOW: Suspecting his wife of having an affair, a man allegedly beheaded her while she was asleep at their rented house in Hardoi’s Islamnagar Tiliya locality early Wednesday, police said.The accused, identified as Parvez (34), was arrested after he reportedly walked into a police station and surrendered.The victim, Nagma (28), had been married to Parvez for nearly 12 years. According to police, the couple’s relationship had been strained for several months, with Parvez allegedly suspecting his wife of being in contact with another man on the phone. Frequent arguments reportedly took place over the issue.Investigators said Nagma was sleeping when Parvez allegedly attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon.
