The unplanned installation of huge concrete girders in the flyover under construction in front of the District Collectorate caused severe traffic snarl on Tuesday.
As the construction of flyovers on the Thoothukudi – Tirunelveli 4-lane national highway in front of District Collectorate and two more spots – Mangalagiri intersection and Vasavappapuram - is progressing at snail’s pace, the road-users, especially the students going to their educational institutions and the office-goers suffer a lot everyday. The pathetic condition of the service road with hundreds of potholes often causes accidents to make things worse for the public.
