University holds IPR training programme for college teachers
Bharathidasan University is hosting an online training program on intellectual property rights for 95 teachers from across India. The program aims to encourage academic research that leads to practical, patented products and services for society.

Ninety-five teachers, drawn from different higher education institutions, representing different disciplines and 10 different States of India, are participating in an online short-term training programme on intellectual property rights (IPR) organised by University Grants Commission-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Bharathidasan University.
In his inaugural address on September 1, N. Panchanatham, Vice-Chancellor, Gandhigram Rural University, urged the participants to ensure that their research was productive and useful to society in the form of patented products and services.
