University holds Bharathiar Memorial Day

Bharathidasan University (BDU) observed Bharathiar Memorial Day with a special commemorative programme on Friday.
In his address, I. Tamizhadiyan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tamil at Kundavai Nachiyar Government College for Women, Thanjavur, highlighted the enduring legacy of Tamil poet Subarmania Bharathi, describing him as a literary visionary whose contributions deserve daily celebration.
He also closely analysed Bharathiar’s iconic songs for the audience, encouraging the participating students to actively adopt the poet’s profound life principles and ideals.
