United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion by supporting a talent competition for visually impaired young Nigerians, as part of efforts to empower persons living with disabilities and provide them with opportunities to showcase their abilities.
The airline co-sponsored the blind category of the Henrotion in Expression event held in Port Harcourt at the weekend, where contestants demonstrated exceptional musical talent before an enthusiastic audience.
At the end of the competition, Sarima Owhur, popularly known as Sari Wonder, emerged the overall winner after delivering an impressive vocal performance that earned her the judges’ top score. She received a cash prize of N100,000.
The first runner-up, Kelly Zion, also received recognition after renowned Nigerian comedian Funny Bone, who attended the event, announced an additional cash prize of N100,000 in appreciation of the contestant’s performance.
