Unit-4 of SLBHES recommissioned again

The fourth unit of the Srisailam Left Bank Hydro-Electric Station has been successfully recommissioned and synchronized with the power grid. This follows a long period of inactivity caused by a major fire accident in 2020 and subsequent technical failures during trial runs.
After a gap of nearly six years, trial run of the Fourth Unit of the 6×150 megawatt Srisailam Left Bank Hydro-Electric Station (SLBHES), which remained out of order since August 20, 2020 following a major fire accident, was conducted in the wee hours of August 11 and was synchronised with the grid.
