Union Minister lays stone for construction of new PHC building at A.P.’s Pedanandipadu

Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar on Monday (August 31, 2026) laid the foundation stone for a Primary Health Centre (PHC) building at Pedanandipadu, along with MLA B. Ramanjaneyulu.
The building is being constructed with ₹1.93 crore sanctioned under the 15th Finance Commission, with facilities for maternity services and healthcare, Mr. Pemmasani said. “Strengthening PHCs was essential to ensure healthcare reached every village and reduce the burden on district hospitals such as the Government General Hospital (GGH),” he added.
