The resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the post of Union Education Minister signals the beginning of the end of the Modi era, said M.B. Patil, Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, in Vijayapura on Sunday (July 26).
Mr. Pradhan did not resign immediately after the NEET examination irregularities, but only after a prolonged protest over the issue by students, he noted. The protest, which created a new wave of awareness across the country, seems to have woken up Prime Minister Narendra Modi from his slumber, Mr. Patil told reporters.
