Union Bank of India (UBI), Regional Office Visakhapatnam, handed over death claim settlement cheques totalling ₹1.50 crore to the families of deceased police personnel under its Police Salary Package scheme.
The claim cheques were formally presented by Commissioner of Police Dr. Shankhabrata Bagchi, along with senior officials of Union Bank of India. During the event, cheques of ₹10 lakh each under term life insurance coverage were handed over to two beneficiaries - Kadasingi Bharati, wife of late Assistant Sub-Inspector Kadasingi Appa Rao, and Peela Anuradha, wife of late Head Constable Peela Appa Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, P. Rajesh (AGM & EBC head), and B. T. Sreenivasulu, Deputy Regional Head, UBI Visakhapatnam Region, expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved families. They reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to the welfare of police personnel and assured full support during times of crisis.
