Trump says administration held "very good meeting" with Iranian delegation By Kit Maher President Donald Trump said that members of his administration met with the Iranian delegation at the UN General Assembly for about three hours in what he described vaguely as a “very good meeting.”

“It went very well,” Trump told reporters, sitting alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “It was a very good meeting.”

Trump said Iran had two options: “potential greatness” through a peace deal, or “obliteration.”

“It’s two choices,” Trump said. “In one case, it’s obliteration, and the other alternative is potential greatness. It could be a great country.”

Pressed whether US envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner participated in the meeting, the US president didn’t dispute their participation.
