Umahi spoke on Thursday at a press conference in Abuja to provide an update on projects recently approved by President Bola Tinubu.
The minister said Habila was “like a daughter” to him, adding that they had worked together for three years.
Umahi also claimed that he had previously sponsored Habila’s medical treatment in Turkey.
“There is one piece of information I want to correct. It is that the lady in question was like a daughter to me,” he said.
“She had stayed with me for three years. She was a staff member of the Federal Medical University.
“She was a nurse and not a physiotherapist. And her family and my family are like one family.
