The World Athletics Ultimate Championship kicked off to much glitz and glamour in Budapest as Britain’s sprinters secured a top-three finish in the very first event.
While there are no medals on offer in the Hungarian capital – just a trophy for victors – it was a fine run-out for the quartet of Romell Glave, Imani-Lara Lansiquot, Jeremiah Azu and Success Eduan, who came in third behind top two, the USA and Jamaica in the mixed 4x100m relay, earning a share of $24,000 for their efforts.
