Ukraine and Latvia discuss defense needs and support for military personnel
Ukrainian and Latvian officials met to discuss defense cooperation, focusing on the delivery of robotic systems, drones, and air defense equipment. Latvia reaffirmed its commitment to provide security support equivalent to 0.25% of its GDP annually.

It is noted that during the meeting, the Ukrainian side outlined the Defense Forces' priority needs, specifically mentioning ground-based robotic systems, fiber-optic drones, "middle strike" capabilities, and air defense systems.
As Khmara emphasized, it is important for Ukraine that the necessary equipment be delivered as quickly as possible.
As noted by the Ministry of Defense, Latvia will continue to provide security support to Ukraine at a level of at least 0.25% of GDP per year.
In addition, Ukraine is counting on Latvia to take the lead in working with other countries and through international forums to secure additional assistance for Ukrainian soldiers.
