Ismael Bonfim has once again had a disastrous day at the scale.

At Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 122, Bonfim missed weight for the third time in his run with the promotion, coming in at 163.5 pounds, an egregious 7.5 pounds over the non-title limit for his lightweight bout with Francisco Prado.

Bonfim previously missed weight by five pounds for a November 2025 bout against Chris Padilla, and by 3.5 pounds for a November 2023 fight against Vinc Pichel that was subsequently rescheduled. “Marreta” told MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz that he “finally got serious” about his diet after the Padilla gaffe, but it appears he has strayed from that path again.

Prado successfully made weight at 155 pounds. The UFC later announced that Prado vs. Bonfim will proceed at a catchweight with Bonfim forfeiting 25 percent of his purse as penalty.
