Udupi tops Karnataka in digitising enumeration forms, says CEO

Udupi district in Karnataka has achieved the highest rate of digitizing voter enumeration forms in the state, reaching 88.39% progress. The Chief Electoral Officer commended local officials for their efficiency in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) V. Anbukumar said on Saturday that Udupi district topped the State in the digitisation of enumeration forms received from voters across all Assembly constituencies in the district.
Speaking while reviewing the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls at the Udupi Deputy Commissioner’s office, he said a total of 9,40,340 enumeration forms had been digitised in the district, taking the progress to 88.39% till Saturday. He lauded the district administration for the progress.
He instructed officials that the SIR, undertaken by the Election Commission of India, to strengthen the foundation of democracy, should be carried out without confusion or errors.
