Why it matters
Release date shifts are common in the Indian film industry and impact marketing strategies and box office projections for major production houses.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film, Udta Teer , has been postponed from its September 11 release date. It will be out in theatres now on October 9, the makers announced on Wednesday (September 9, 2026).
The makers also unveiled the first look poster featuring Ayushmann in a quirky avatar as he is seen resting between two milestones of India and Pakistan. Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “Deshbhakti toh yaad hai...par desh nahi (He remembers love for country but not the country). Get ready for unlimited chaos, confusion and action!”
