UDF, LDF declare candidates for Kuttichira bypoll in Kozhikode
The UDF and LDF have announced their candidates for the upcoming Kuttichira ward bypoll in Kozhikode. The seat became vacant following the resignation of Fathima Thahiliya after her election to the State Assembly.

The United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) have declared their candidates for the September 28 bypoll to the Kuttichira ward of the Kozhikode Corporation.
The seat fell vacant after Fathima Thahiliya, the incumbent councillor belonging to the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), resigned from her post following her victory in the 2026 Assembly election from the Perambra constituency in the district. Ms. Thahiliya had won the Corporation election by a majority of over 2,000 votes.
