UCAA: Entebbe Airport Ready for AFCON

Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has said that Entebbe International Airport will be fully prepared to receive delegates for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027.
Appearing before the Parliamentary committee on Thursday, UCAA Deputy Director General Olive Lumonya assured legislators that the new terminal building at the airport will be complete and operational ahead of the tournament.
“Preparedness for AFCON, chair, I want to confirm that Entebbe International Airport which is the gateway, will be ready for AFCON. The new terminal building will be ready,” Lumonya said.
She told MPs that the new terminal will come with expanded capacity and modernised passenger handling systems.
