Ubisoft unites Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and The Division teams under Massive Entertainment

Ubisoft is consolidating its development teams for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and The Division under the Massive Entertainment brand. This strategic move, led by new General Manager Christoph Hartmann, aims to combine creative and technical expertise across studios in Montreal, Paris, Sweden, and Toronto to enhance existing franchises and develop new intellectual property.
Why it matters
This consolidation could streamline game development, foster collaboration, and potentially lead to more cohesive and innovative titles for Ubisoft's major franchises, impacting the future of popular gaming series.
Ubisoft has brought the teams behind Tom Clancy's The Division, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell together under the Massive Entertainment name. Studios in Montr al, Paris, Sweden and Toronto are part of the change, which also covers new original intellectual property (IP) including March of Giants.
According to the announcement, the move follows the appointment of Christoph Hartmann as General Manager of Creative House 2 earlier this year. Hartmann now holds the title of General Manager of Massive Entertainment.
