U.S. firm Sonatype to add 100 seats in Hyderabad

U.S.-based software firm Sonatype is expanding its Artificial Intelligence-focused global capability centre in Hyderabad by adding 100 new roles. The company is scaling its workforce to address growing software supply chain risks and security challenges in the financial services sector.

U.S. firm Sonatype is expanding its Artificial Intelligence-focused global capability centre in Hyderabad by by adding office space for about 100 more employees.
The company is increasing its investment in the India ecosystem and its Hyderabad innovation centre, Sonatype senior director of technology and India country head Abhishek Chauhan said. He added the lease agreement for the additional office space has already been signed.
“We are on the path of expansion and expect to get the additional space in the next few weeks,” he said. Sonatype, which chose Hyderabad for its India centre, opened the facility last year with plans to initially employ around 50 engineers. The company ended the year with nearly 80 engineers, and the workforce has since grown to more than 150.
