U.P.’s Centre of Excellence helped 31 economically weaker and socially disadvantaged students crack NEET, JEE entrance

The Uttar Pradesh government said on Monday that a Centre of Excellence at Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya in Marihan under the Mirzapur district, established by the Department of Social Welfare, helped 18 students in qualifying National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and 13 students clearing Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). “With an intake capacity of 40 students, the centre offers quality education through experienced faculty, regular test series, personalised mentoring, modern study materials, and a competitive academic environment designed specifically for national-level entrance examinations. These efforts have consistently translated into outstanding academic results. The centre’s success rate has improved over the years. In 2025, around 11 students qualified NEET and 11 students cleared JEE,” reads an official statement.
