District officials in multiple western U.P. districts on Tuesday (July 21, 2026) inspected security arrangements for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra. The Uttar Pradesh government has said it has pushed for zero incident, zero accident during the yatra.
The officials stressed the need for close coordination with neighbouring districts. “The administration and the police have almost completed their preparations for the Kanwar Yatra during the holy month of Shravan . Physical inspections have been carried out along the Bareilly route, Kachhla Ghat, and all other designated routes...” said Abhishek Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Budaun.
