A two-year-old girl has died after being trapped in a domestic fire at Cantonments in Accra, authorities say.
The fire broke out at a residence near Susanna Lodge on Sunday afternoon, with the child inside the premises when the incident occurred, according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The girl was unable to escape and died in the fire.
Her remains have since been handed over to the Cantonments Police for the necessary procedures, the report said.
The Ghana National Fire Service is expected to provide further information on the circumstances surrounding the fire and the response to the incident.
