A two-year-old child who sustained grave injuries after falling into the waterlogged courtyard of his house died at a private medical college hospital in Kozhikode district on Saturday (August 1, 2026) night. The victim was identified as Masin, son of Noushad, a resident of Kannankadavu near Kappad.
The incident took place around 12 noon on Saturday (August 1). Though he was rushed to a private clinic near his house, his condition was found critical and he was referred to the private medical college hospital. According to sources, the child, who was later placed on ventilator support, succumbed to injuries by 10.30 p.m.
