Two students from Erode win medals at WorldSkills competition
Two students from Erode, Tamil Nadu, secured medals at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai. The Indian contingent achieved its highest-ever global ranking, finishing 10th overall with a record medal haul.

Two students from Erode district have won medals at the 48th WorldSkills Competition held in Shanghai, China, from September 22 to 27.
Surendran, a student of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, won an award in Plastering and Drywall Systems, while Rahul, a student of Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, received an award in Artificial Intelligence.
The two students met Collector S. Kandasamy at the Collectorate recently and showed him their awards. The Collector congratulated them and presented them with books.
Twelve contestants from the State participated in various skill categories as part of the Indian contingent at the competition. Five of them won one silver medal and four Medals for Excellence.
