Two persons murdered in rural areas of Madurai since Saturday
Two separate murder incidents occurred in the rural areas of Madurai district over the weekend. Police are currently investigating both cases, including one involving a suspect who had recently returned home on bail.

Two persons were murdered in different areas under Madurai rural district police limits since Saturday night.
In the first incident, a murder case accused, K. Manikandan (27), was found stabbed to death in Andipatti Bungalow in Vadipatti police station limits on Saturday night.
The police said that Manikandan had been chased away by the police ever since he came out in bail after he was involved in the murder of one Saravanapandi in 2025. He had been working in a quarry in Bengaluru.
