A 45-year-old farmer was murdered by two persons in Tiruttani of Tiruvallur district on Sunday (October 4, 2026).

A senior police official from Tiruvallur district said the victim, Yuvaraj, was a resident of Periyar Nagar in Tiruttani. He had given a complaint to the Tiruttani police against a youth of the same locality for persistently harassing his minor daughter. Enraged by this, the youth, identified as Sanjay Lawrence, along with a friend, who remains unidentified, hacked Yuvaraj to death.
