Two persons arrested for possession of country made guns in Vellore
Police in Vellore arrested two men for possessing a country-made gun during a routine vehicle check. The suspects were allegedly planning to hunt wild animals in the Jawadhu Hills to sell the meat.

Two persons were arrested by Odugathur police in Vellore for possession of one country made gun during a vehicle check on Wednesday.
The police said that arrested persons were identified as K. Satish Kumar, 32, and his accomplice R. Babu, 23. They were residents of Tiruvannamalai district. Initial inquiry revealed that a team of police personnel were conducting a routine vehicle check in Arasampatti village at the foothills of Jawadhu Hills in Vellore when a speeding car did not stop at the police checkpoint.
As police chased and approached the car, three unidentified persons fled the spot with a country-made gun. The police managed to nab the remaining two persons in the vehicle.
