Two professors of the National Institute of Technology - Karnataka (NIT-K), Surathkal, have been conferred with the Eminent Engineer Award – 2026 in the academician category by The Institution of Engineers (India), Karnataka State Centre.

They are G.S. Dwarakish, Professor (Higher Academic Grade), Department of Water Resources and Ocean Engineering, and Basavaraju Manu, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering.

They received the award from Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at the 59th Engineers’ Day celebration held at the IEI Karnataka State Centre, Bengaluru, recently.
