Two new suspects questioned over allegedly aiding Al Fayed abuse

Two additional individuals have been questioned by the Metropolitan Police regarding their alleged role in facilitating sexual abuse by the late Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed. This brings the total number of suspects in the investigation to six, as authorities continue to process hundreds of victim allegations.

A woman and a man, both in their 80s, were questioned between Monday and Wednesday on suspicion of aiding and abetting rape and sexual assault, and assisting the commission of sexual offences, the Metropolitan Police said.
Al Fayed, who owned the luxury department store between 1985 and 2010, was accused by hundreds of women of rape and sexual assault.
He died in 2023 aged 94 and was never charged with any criminal offences.
The latest interviews bring the total number of suspects questioned to six, but no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
