Two young motorcyclists were killed in a tragic multi-vehicle road accident near Jalahalli village in the Deodurga taluk of Raichur district late Thursday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Uday Ramanna and Vijay Neelakanth.
According to police sources, the mishap occurred when the motorcycle, carrying the duo from Jalahalli towards the Tinthini bridge, was struck head-on by an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction.
The impact caused both riders to fall onto the road, where they were subsequently dashed by a state-owned bus traveling directly behind them in the same direction. ”Vijay died on the spot, while Uday succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital,” police sources stated.
