Two MLAs, including Anil Jha, the sitting MLA from Kirari, were among six people who sustained minor injuries after two cars collided near the PWD office in central Delhi on Sunday (August 23, 2026) night, police said.

The accident occurred around 9.30 p.m. when a car travelling from Laxmi Nagar towards ITO hit a divider, crossed the railing, and collided with an Innova car coming from the opposite direction, according to the police.

The car was driven by 32-year-old Ashutosh Pandey, who was travelling with his wife and two minor children. The Innova was occupied by Mr. Jha and Abhay Patil, an MLA from Karnataka.

All occupants sustained minor injuries and were taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital for treatment. Police stated that all were stable.
