Two mini-textile parks inaugurated in Karur district
The Tamil Nadu government has inaugurated two new mini-textile parks in Karur to boost local infrastructure and support MSMEs. The initiative provides financial assistance to entrepreneurs to strengthen the state's position as a major textile hub.

Two mini-textile parks were inaugurated in Karur district by M. Vijay Balaji, Minister for Handlooms, Textiles and Khadi, on Friday.
The two mini textile parks were part of the eight sanctioned for the district. Two such parks were already functioning in the district. So far, 19 mini textile parks have been sanctioned in the State, according to an official press release.
The scheme seeks to cement Tamil Nadu’s reputation as a major textile destination in the country by offering financial assistance to entrepreneurs for establishment of cutting-edge infrastructure in clusters. Financial support up to 50% of the eligible project cost, subject to a maximum of ₹2.50 crore, is provided under the initiative.
The parks inaugurated on Friday were located at Kodangipatti in Karur Municipal Corporation limits and at Uppidamangalam.
