Two men convicted in Balapur POCSO case sentenced to 10 and 5 years each
A Fast Track Special Court in Rangareddy district sentenced two men to 10 and 5 years in prison for a 2022 POCSO case. The court also ordered compensation payments to the victims.

Two men, earlier arrested by the Balapur police in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case, were convicted by a Fast Track Special Court for the Expeditious Trial and Disposal of Rape and POCSO Act Cases, Rangareddy district on Tuesday.
The court sentenced the principal accused, Sampangi Chendra Shekar, 23, an autorickshaw driver, to 10 years’ imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹10,000. The second accused, Bollipaka Madhu, 22, a student, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment along with a fine of ₹7,000.
The court also directed that ₹50,000 be paid as compensation to one victim and ₹1 lakh to the other the other victim.
