Two persons were killed and two others, including a four-year-old boy, were seriously injured in two separate road accidents in Visakhapatnam on Sunday (September 20, 2026).
In the first incident, reported at Akkireddipalem, three persons, a man, a woman and a four-year-old boy, were travelling on a motorcycle from Anakapalli towards Anandapuram. According to preliminary information, the motorcycle was allegedly being ridden on the wrong side of the road when it was hit by a lorry travelling in the opposite direction, from Anandapuram towards Anakapalli.
The man riding the motorcycle died on the spot in the impact. The four-year-old boy and the woman, who were travelling as pillion riders, sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a private hospital in Arilova for treatment.
