Two persons were killed and two others were seriously injuried when two motorcycles collided on NH-16 at Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district, late on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as S. Nookaraju (38) and P. Suribabu (30), both residents of Saripalli village.
According to the police, the accident occurred near the Nakkapalli Government Hospital, when a motorcycle travelling from Addu Road collided with another bike that was crossing the road divider. The impact of the collision was severe, killing two persons on the spot, and leaving two other persons Nageswara Rao and Ramakrishna seriously injured.
