Two persons, including a youth from Delhi, were killed in separate road accidents in Bengaluru on Sunday. Both accidents involved two-wheelers, and none of the victims was wearing a helmet.
In the first incident, Namay Sharma, a private firm employee from Delhi, died after his motorcycle allegedly rammed the retaining wall of the Silk Board double-decker flyover in the Madiwala Traffic Police Station limits around 6.30 a.m.
According to the police, Sharma was riding on the flyover when he allegedly lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a curve and crashed into the retaining wall. As he was not wearing a helmet, he sustained severe head injuries.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. A case has been registered at the Madiwala Traffic Police Station.
