Two persons - Saktivel, 50, and Ravichandran, 37, of Illangovan Street, Kailasapatti near Periyakulam died in an accident on Sunday. Police said that Saktivel was driving a tractor. They had carried M-sand from Melmangalam Road. It is said that the vehicle went out of control and hit an electric pole, which fell on the tractor killing the duo on the spot.

Jayamangalam police have registered a case and further investigation was on.
