Two persons were killed after a motorist lost control of his vehicle and dashed into a truck on the Maduravoyal Bypass Road near Vanagaram on Saturday (October 10, 2026) night.

Avadi police said Yukesh Kumar (23), a resident of Thiruverkadu, was working as a storekeeper at a private company in Ambattur. On Saturday night, Yukesh Kumar, along with his 19-year-old friend, Sathyabharathi, were driving in his two-wheeler on the Maduravoyal Bypass Road for some personal work.

Yukesh Kumar was riding a two-wheeler with Bharathi Kumar on the pillion when he lost control of the vehicle and dashed into a lorry which iron rods. The lorry was heading towards Sriperumbudur. Both were thrown from the vehicle, sustained severe head injuries, and were killed on the spot.
