Two occupants of a car were killed and four others injured after the vehicle collided with a lorry on the Tiruchi-Madurai National Highway at Thuvarankurichi in the district on Thursday.
The occupants of the car which was taken on rent were travelling from Chennai to Nagercoil when the fatal accident occurred in the morning. Police sources said the lorry, which was proceeding in front of the car, suddenly turned right due to which the car collided with the vehicle.
