Two juveniles held for series of thefts in southern districts

Police said Kasi operated a used car dealership in Transport Nagar area of Karaikudi. On the night of July 27, the lock of his shop was broken, and a luxury car along with ₹22,000 was stolen. The Karaikudi North police registered a case. Further, a special team led by Sub-Inspector Palanikumar was formed to catch the culprits.
During the investigation, it came to light that a 17-year-old boy from Madurai and a 16-year-old boy from Tiruchi had committed the theft. Consequently, the police arrested both of them. The police also seized a luxury car, four mobile phones, knives, and a police uniform stolen from one of the locations.
